Pemba Boutique playsuit, Brandy Melville cardigan, Callixto rings, Christina Nicole necklace

Very accustomed and happy about the early spring/summer weather we get here in Southern California. Going to the pool and sunny escapades for the weekends have become routine.  I will be studying abroad in London for one semester next fall, and am increasingly aware that I am underprepared. Happy Monday, sweethearts!

Maje boots, H&M hat, Urban Outfitters dress, Free People thermal, Vieta bag, Casio watch

As many of you know, I panicked yesterday when I woke up and saw that my blog had been removed from the internet. I had been suspended from my Google account and was unable to access my gmail as well as other accounts, such as YouTube, Blogger, etc. I was quick to put up a replacement blog (talk about impatient) with the same post - so, for those of you who missed out, here it is. I am so relieved and thankful that the technical issue has been resolved - though I did purchase a new domain (here) in the one day that my blog was down, and cannot connect it to this blog as it is through a different platform. I will update you all if I decide to make any major switches/changes, but let me know if you prefer the layout over on the new site.

Despite these issues and confusions, I do want to leave you all with a happier note, especially since I'm much happier now that this is up and running, so here is my weekend roundup:

1. Eat: For those of you who are familiar with my Instagram account, you are well aware that I am an acai bowl fiend. I tried my first pitaya bowl with Christine from kkarmalove this weekend, which is similar to an acai bowl, but with dragon fruit. I love the spin off the classic.

2. Listen: In a City Without Seasons by The One AM Radio

3. Read: Wide Eyed Legless for minimalist perfection and impeccable curation.

4. Watch: Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23. I am not a consistent TV-watcher, because I don't actually spend that much time on my bed (it's lofted, aka I have to climb a ladder to get on it). Subsequently, I'm the kind of person who ends up watching cooking shows like Top Chef and Chopped because I don't have to keep up in order to enjoy the show and I can multitask while listening to the show. But Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 is sweetly short and incredibly funny. Plus, what's not to love about Krysten Ritter?

PENINSULA // giveaway

Shop Koshka shorts, Free People thermal, Jeffrey Campbell bootsTopshop backpack and socks

Having been back in Sunny California for two weeks now, I figured that I should share some of this lovely sun with you all. I am admittedly guilty of under appreciating the beauty that LA and its surrounding areas has to offer (especially due to my lack of a license to drive and subsequent inability to get to many places), but it is places like these that rekindle my love for the state. The truth is, I have been so used to cities that are easy to maneuver, compact, and accessible (like Shanghai, New York, and Hong Kong), so LA has often frustrated me because it is so dispersed (I like to think of it as a broken cookie - all the crumbs scattered but delicious). Yet without LA's scattered layout, panorama and nature like this would not be as common.  So, thank you LA for an abundance smudgy horizon lines and hilly goodness.  I'm just desperate to be able to devour more of California's untouched beauty. These photos were taken at Jack's Hat Trail at Palos Verdes.

Some other good news that I have is that I teamed up with Koshka to give away another pair of these red daisy shorts in the spirit of Valentine's day! I do really want to treat you guys (as I obvioulsy love you all), and despite the overrated-ness of this particular holiday (love should be something celebrated all-year round in my opinion), I think that everyone, whether in a relationship or not, should have a chance to experience the love.  All you have to do is follow the instructions via. Rafflecopter down below and make sure to comment with your email address and favorite Koshka item so we can reach you! This giveaway ends in a little over a week, so hurry up and enter xx!
